I had bought seeds for this kind of tomatoes. Is it time to use them or not yet? If yes what’s the correct procedure to plant them in a pot? Give me some tips. I live in Greece

Check to see if your last frost date has passed, I’m pretty sure you get frosts in geece? Not really sure. But if you’re looking to plant them out in a month to a month and a half now would be a good time to start them indoors. If your last frost date has passed you can sow them outside if you’d like. Yo can start them indoors in a small cup with drainage holes and then transplant them into a 5-10 gallon pot or in the ground.

    Greek here

The last frost data has passed but generally the recommendation is for the soil to be at least 8C at night to grow tomatoes.

This weekend will actually be the first that will be that.

Many of us here in Greece prefer to start indoors so they can start producing in May, because by kid July the heat is so intense that tomatoes don’t set fruit. Then they start producing again heavily in late August.

But of course it’s not too late for you, you can start even now unless you’re in Kastoria or some other very cold place in which case I would wait a couple of weeks
