    What’s the best surprise your garden has given you lately? Mine might be the volunteer pumpkins, the hidden daffodils, or that magnolia branch growing roots after being in an arrangement. Sometimes the sweetest part of gardening is what you never planned. 🌿

    I’m enjoying seeing my winter sowing jugs germinate, growing seedlings in my basement grow room, and I’m enjoying my redbud seedlings from my grafted red buds reverting to original redbud trees… Free trees! Also, Linda, I have to say my gardening phrase of the year thanks to you is pleasant puttering that’s what I’m going to do this year pleasantly putter 😊…. also, I’m growing flowering tobacco for the first time this year and I’m so excited.!

    Wow, the magnolia branch sure looks healthy, and lots of roots beginning. I decided to plant a big shallow pot of avocado seeds so the chipmunks could have something to play with. If not they'd be digging out everything else. Fun surprise in my garden was to find all the tiny little purple blooms on the variegated vinca. Haven't seen that many in years. Spring is such a happy time! 🌱🌿🪻

    That garden bench for weeding and pruning? It is 19 inches and I cannot stand up when it is lower than 21 inches. I was in a wreck and my back and leg (sciatica) won't let me stand. I am not upset because I can use it for my feet when I am in my rocking chair! Thank your husband for the idea! I hope you look at Stone Cottage Adventure (99 Design Ideas) for accessibility. If you are in a rehab or nursing home the room mate can have dementia and have abusive tendencies. My Mom was poked every night and had bruises. My Dad was screamed at by his room mate.
