An open gardens trail will return this year, promising a day of nature and community spirit.

Taking place in Fletching village, the event will raise money for Fletching Primary School and offer visitors an opportunity to explore private gardens.

The trail will be held on Sunday, June 7, and will include rarely-seen gardens, family activities and refreshments.

Visitors will have the chance to explore the stunning Clinton Lodge gardens, which are not usually open to the public, as well as other private gardens in the area.

Jenni Orwin, Headmistress at Fletching School, said: “We are thrilled to bring the community together again for such a wonderful event.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to explore some of the village’s most beautiful and rarely seen gardens while enjoying a day full of family-friendly fun.

“And, most importantly, it’s all for a great cause – helping to support Fletching Primary School and ensuring a brighter future for our children.”

Garden enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of themed spaces at Clinton Lodge, including the Herb Garden, Wild Garden, Banqueting House Garden, Rose Garden and Cutting Garden.

Other attractions throughout the trail will include a plant stall, children’s treasure trail, a bouncy castle, refreshments and an art exhibition.

Children can take part in a treasure trail with clues hidden around the gardens and prizes to be won.

Mialls Ice Cream will be on site offering locally-made treats.

All funds raised from this event will directly benefit Fletching Primary School, supporting educational programs, resources and initiatives that enrich the learning experience for local children.

Tickets cost £10 on the day and entry is free for children.

The gardens will be open from 11am to 5pm.

Parking is free and available on-site.

Lunch options, teas, coffee and homemade cakes will be served throughout the day.

Organisers are encouraging residents and visitors alike to turn out and help support the future of Fletching Primary School while enjoying a relaxing day outdoors.
