A charity garden party is set to return for its sixth edition this summer.

The event will be held in support of Warrington-based children’s charity and voluntary adoption agency, Adoption Matters.

Supporters Kate and Martin Slack will once again open the grounds of their home in Ashton Hayes, near Chester, for the fundraiser, which will take place on Saturday, June 27 from 12pm to 4pm.

Annie O’Neill, fundraising and relationship manager at Adoption Matters, said: “We are so pleased that our long-term supporters, Kate and Martin, have decided to host a garden party for our children’s charity again this year.

“This will now be the sixth time that they have hosted a garden party for us and each year it just gets better.

“All are welcome to the event, it’s not just for our own adopter families, it’s a real family event for all to enjoy.

“Please come along and join us to help us make even more of a difference to children and families’ lives.”

The event promises a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family, with access to picturesque gardens and woodlands, a children’s entertainer, a forest school, a children’s tombola, a raffle, and a cake sale featuring treats homemade by Kate and villagers.

Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are priced at £10 for adults, while children and young people aged 17 and under can attend free of charge.

All funds raised will support Adoption Matters’ Centre for Fostering and Adoption Support.
