HoMi, the Korean hand plough.. this is a brilliant bit of gardening kit… one of the best gardening tools I have bought for the allotment and an absolute game changer for coping with my bad back. This one-handed plough has multiple uses from weeding, digging out furrows and taking over the soil… it fits well.in the hand, it has a really nice, balanced feel when using it .

  1. Yup, used to see the grandmothers and grandfathers use these when I lived and worked in Korea (South Korea, that is!).

  2. What a great overview and what a efficient tool!! As a person with a bad back also, this could be a game changer!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  3. I wouldn't have thought twice about that tool. Great explanation on how to use it and it's uses. That's a great tool. I appreciate and I'm sure everyone else feels the same that you share what you can about stuff. You will find out, great rewards with teaching people things. Great job brother.❤😎

  4. We have A version of that tool here mate. I have never heard of an official name however. We just say, " hand me that pointy thing, made like A Hoe" . Works nicely, agreed. I hope you did not over exert yourself. Peace, John.

  5. I'm guessing "necessity being the mother of invention". We purchased our house down here in western Texas 8 years ago and found a similar hand-made tool almost exactly the same among the several garden tools in the shed. Very useful tool in the veggie and flower garden.

  6. Humanity has terraformed the Earth through agriculture. The small tool held in our hands — the hoMi— was where it all began
