First time gardener here, location is Brisbane. How do I get my eggplants (black beauty) to grow bigger? I just harvested several round and big ones but they are already way too ripe and seedy. The ones that are just right are too small. I water daily and liquid fertilize weekly with powerfeed tomato and vegetables fertilizer. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.
First photo are the bigger but overripe ones, second photo is golf ball sized and already a bit seedy.

Are they in full sun?
I had a similar experience in Perth and suspect it was because the position of the sun changed through the season and the plants didn’t get enough sun where I had them, so the fruit didn’t grow fast enough. The fruits were small and very bitter. (I may be wrong about the sun though!)
