Do any of you grow your pothos in water with no plans to ever plant them in soil? I'm curious if you've ever run into fatal problems and what could have been done to avoid them. Or do you have any other tips for healthy water-grown pothos?

I've been doing this for years, and for most of that time giving them literally nothing but tap water (chlorine and all!) when the jars started to dry out. I have about 40 of these jars around the house. But I've been trying to take this hobby more seriously recently and want to be aware of any potential risks I may have avoided by luck alone in the past.

I've started giving these plants a drop of TPS liquid plant food roughly once a month. And I've been swirling the jars and topping off the water every week or so, to increase oxygen to the roots. I've heard about using a drop of hydrogen peroxide occasionally as well to clean off the roots, but I've never felt like I had a case where that was necessary.

I'm curious what tips the other water-growers have here.

(I'll post a photo of my aquarium-rooted pothos someday too. You probably already know that pothos *love* fish tank water!)
