I struggled to get these guys to this point and my punk of a ginger cat decided he needed some salad last night. He also took out all of my zinnias but thankfully they germinated quickly so I can just plop some more seeds down.

My cat did the same thing to 2 pepper! even took a tomato plant straight out its little cell 🙁
Sadly only one of the peppers survived and it had part of that true set of leaves in the middle
It isn’t going to hurt to see it through and try to grow it out
One of my cats did that to all of my pepper seedlings last year. She was also pulling them out of the soil and eating them like they were bean sprouts 🙄. About 50% of them survived and grew new leaves. At this size it’s hard to predict but they are pretty resilient.
I have the same issue. I got a couple of these: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F1D3RXNC](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F1D3RXNC) I use them on their sides with the zipper on top, and put my seedlings in there. Best way I’ve found so far to protect them from the cat.
The pepper might still make it, worth a try!
They might survive but they will be knocked back a bit if they do
We learned the hard way that seed staring and cats do not mix. This will not be the last setback if they are not separated.

They’ll probably be fine. I usually have to put my seedlings somewhere completely separate from my furry gardeners as they get much too curious.
What kind of difficulty have you had getting them to sprout? I use a seedling heating mats and a tray cover to help mine along; I usually have very little trouble getting them to sprout.
Peppers are one of those things that although I try to start seedlings, I also just buy bigger seedlings from the garden center because peppers take so dang long to grow.
Will it survive? They’re surprisingly tolerant of abuse in my experience, but they’re still going to take forever to grow anyway.
That one in the front with the baby leaves will probably be just fine. I recently damaged a few of my peppers to that point, and they ALL bounced back and look fabulous 2 weeks later.
