

Relatively new to this!
Started growing Jalapeños on my balcony a few months ago. Unable to figure out if they’re ready to be harvested.
What are some sure signs to check if they’re ready?
Also, are the black / dark joints on the first plant of any concern?

I’m not familiar with this variety, but the fruit looks a little deformed in the photo, or is it just the angle? The black discoloration at the joints is normal for some varieties; it doesn’t mean anything, but as I said, it depends on the variety. The fruit is still a little small for harvesting, but if you know the exact variety, you usually know when to harvest it and what color it should be.
