Wimborne Gardening Club is gearing up for a showcase of springtime talent.
The club, fresh from a talk by Mitch Perkins on creating hedgehog-friendly gardens on March 2, is preparing for its Spring Show, set for Saturday, April 11, at the Allendale Community Centre.
Open from noon, the event promises a range of classes for all, featuring not just daffodils and tulips, but also cookery, floral art, photography, and handicrafts, with a special category for juniors.

The show invites both members and the general public to partake, with schedules available in various spots around the town including the Allendale Centre, Allendale House, and on the club’s website.
Entry closes on Wednesday, April 8.
The club is skipping its monthly meeting in April, but looks forward to its next gathering on Monday, May 11, where David Bassil will share his expertise on creating hanging baskets.
The meetings are regularly held at St. Catherines Church Hall on Lewens Lane at 7.30pm.
Following the Spring Show, the club is organising a coach trip to RHS Wisley on Tuesday, May 19.
