I wanna see a good ole fashion debate. All the YouTubers say I should flush (the ones I watch anyway). What say you?? First ever grow. Starting week 6 flower tomorrow. Including some pics of my grow.

Nope no flush, just an old bro science thing. You’d pretty much be starving them of nutrients they need to finish strong. As long as you dry and cure right, your flavor will be on point.

If your running Organic you don’t have to flush BUT if your running Salts then for sure you should

Haven’t flushed the last two grows for more than 24 hours in hydro. It just depends but none of my friends say its not a smooth hit. I feel like as long as you dry and cure properly its all good.

I think the big thing is not overfeeding them in the first place. If you aren’t overfeeding to begin with, then there shouldn’t really be a need to flush.

I personally am a believer in flushing. I’ve done it both ways, and the flushed product was definitely smoother, and the ash was cleaner. Some will say it starves the plant, but that’s kind of the point. Flushing removes excess nutrients. The plant stores nutrients (salts) in its tissues. Flushing forces the plant to consume these stored nutrients preventing a harsh, chemical-like taste in the final smoke. It can also help reduce residual chlorophyll and minerals that cause a “grassy” or harsh, throat-burn, while drying and curing is the most important part for sure. A couple of weeks of water at the end hasn’t reduced my yields or flavor in any of my grows. To each their own, but I’m a flusher.

  6. I do a day zero flush 3-5 hours before the chop and call it good. And it’s not straight water, it’s just very weak feed with minimal additives (liquid bonemeal, liquid calcium, sugars, guano, and enzymes)

Anything else is starving your plants.
