We’re back with Mom & Daughters React to One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Episodes 4 & 5, and these episodes take the Straw Hats into the incredible Little Garden arc! 🏴☠️⚓ Ivy joins Tessa (Mama’s Geeky) and Lorie again as we continue our journey through the Grand Line — and this adventure is packed with danger, humor, and some unforgettable new characters. In these episodes, the crew arrives on Little Garden, a prehistoric island where dinosaurs roam and massive warriors clash. The Straw Hats quickly discover that the island is home to two legendary giants: Dorry the Blue Ogre and Brogy the Red Ogre. These two warriors have been locked in a duel for over a century… and hilariously, they’ve completely forgotten why they started fighting in the first place. Seeing these giants brought to life in the live-action series was amazing — the scale, the design, and their personalities really capture the spirit of the story. We’re also introduced to the villainous Mr. 3, played by David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, The Dark Knight). His manipulative schemes and Devil Fruit abilities create huge problems for the Straw Hats, forcing the crew to split up as they each face their own challenges across the island. Despite being separated, every member of the crew goes on quite the journey in these episodes. Between traps, giant enemies, and some seriously close calls, it feels like the Straw Hats almost die multiple times — but through teamwork, determination, and a little bit of luck, they manage to survive the chaos of Little Garden and continue their voyage deeper into the Grand Line. Key moments we reacted to include the epic introduction of Dorry and Brogy and their century-long duel, the reveal of Mr. 3 and his dangerous plans for the Straw Hats, the crew splitting up and facing different dangers across Little Garden, the incredible giant and dinosaur visuals that bring the island to life, and the tense moments where it seems like the crew might not make it out alive before finally escaping to continue their adventure.
One Piece (Live-Action) stars an incredible cast, including Iñaki Godoy (The Imperfects, Who Killed Sara?) as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu (Rurouni Kenshin: The Final, Knights of the Zodiac) as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd (Fear Street, Hunters) as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson (Greenleaf, All Rise) as Usopp, Taz Skylar (Boiling Point) as Sanji, and David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, The Dark Knight) as Mr. 3.

I think it would be interesting if Ivy said which arcs she's read. Judging by her reaction to the last four episodes she probably skipped Whiskey Peak & Little Garden; even though she's read later arcs like Dressrosa and the Summit War.

I noticed that "The girl with the sawfish tattoo" was a reference to "The girl with the dragon tattoo" but didn't hit me it was movies names until you mention in the previous chapter. Maybe because I knew it for the book, and in most of the world this book is called "The men who hated women" from the serie Millenium.

For me, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek is pretty much perfect casting. Before watching, I kept thinking the role would work best if they cast an adult who looks childlike but not entirely like a kid. The character needs to be a bit annoying, but also slightly creepy. And that’s exactly what they delivered.
👏👏👏😀😀😀Ivy's expertise and love for Anime is really missing on these reaction chanels. I feel that her language is quite appropriate for the chanel, her age, and is as refreshing as Lorie's (when she goes off on the bad guys). There are times when the two daughters carry the conversation during the reaction and I love it! It's like my kids when they talk about anime. Exactly. I really love it. I know you might think that it detracts from your reaction but it makes me want to NOT miss any minute of your conversations. I used to NOT stay to the very end due to my short attention span, but now I'm watching till the very end every time! Please keep her around and maybe watch more anime movies if that will keep convince her. There are wonderful anime movies that I want you three to react to. Maybe even visit some of classics that rip my heart out, still. 💓💓💓
