Is that a dried out fruit stem I see sticking out from the middle? If so, the leafy stem that you recognize as your plant will not be growing anymore. After flowering/fruiting, bromeliads put all of their energy into the new suckers/pups growing from the base. The mother plant will slowly die off, and those daughters will grow into new plants.

Leave them alone for now. Let them get bigger.
