Hey, what’s going on in Oklahoma? I know that we are getting really close to spring and there are *** lot of gardeners out there that really want To start planting, but be very careful. I know it’s been mild lately, but we’re not quite done with our freezing temperatures. So all of these dates that you see right here, this is the earliest last freeze we have ever had in Oklahoma during the springtime, and you can see that there are *** lot of dates, especially across central and northern Oklahoma, that have not had *** freeze any earlier than, say, the 2nd or 3rd week of March. When do we average though, our very last freeze? This right here shows our average last freeze. It’s right around the very end of March or the very beginning of April for, uh, for Oklahoma City. For Northern Oklahoma, it’s usually pretty early into April. You go deeper into the panhandle, it’s actually mid to late April. It’s much, much later there. And then going into Southern Oklahoma here, you can see the average last freeze is usually late March to very early April. But how about the latest last freeze? Look at the latest freeze we’ve ever had. Here in Oklahoma City. We, we’ve actually gone up to April 20th for the last freeze of the year, the latest last freeze for the, uh, for the winter season here in Northern Oklahoma. There are some areas that are touching on almost May 1st, so just be very careful if you’re doing any planting over the next week or two, is that it can still get pretty cold and we still have *** few more strong cold fronts headed this way.
