Ordered this "kit" bc I just couldn't resist the ad. It arrived today with a couple tablespoons of potting soil, two thimble sized terracotta pots (without drainage holes) and a tiny Mammillaria gracilis fragilis pup. I've never tried to drill a drainage hole in a pot this tiny. Shoot, Ive never SEEN a pot this tiny! It'll only stay in here for about a month to grow some roots before I transfer it to a 1" pot, but how stinking cute is this!

So cute. Those tiny pots are hysterical. I’ve got a number of succulents in some.

Lololol don’t even bother with a drainage hole on a pot that size. I know you’re waiting to get some roots before transplanting so watering shouldn’t be an issue anyway (in which case I guess you could just lean it over a bit and dribble some water in between the cactus and the pot??). But in the future if you do decide to actually plant something in there, it’s so small that in between the roots absorbing water and the terracotta wicking out the remaining, overwatering will absolutely not be a concern.

    So cute though!
