Is this a sansevieria? I have a standard one with wide leaves)

This is a type of sansevieria – most thrive in bright light conditions.

Looks like cylindrical snake plant. Drench with water when completely dry, then repeat. Mid level of sun. If you give too much sun, she will burn. Can tolerate a bit of shade.

C’è l’ ho anch’io da un anno la tengo in casa lontana dalle fonti di calore, è su una mensola a 4 metri dalla finestra. Deve stare in un posto luminoso ma non al sole. La bagno solo quando il terreno è ben asciutto.

this sansevieria will not live in the hallway or “in the shadows”. the seller was either grossly misinformed about growing requirements of sansevieria or (more likely) was lying to you in order to sell it.
there is no such thing as a “low-light plant” – all plants need, at a minimum, *bright indirect light*. that means in front of a window. i know there’s always someone on reddit that claims they had a plant that lived in a box in their closet for 30 years and loved it but those people are full of crap.
if you want this to live put it in front of a window – south or west facing is best. don’t overwater as that will lead to root rot. test the soil before watering (stick a finger in the soil about an inch) and water only when completely dry.
i would also put it in a slightly larger pot with drainage – terracotta pots work well with sansevieria.
