Many people simply underestimate just how much light they need and can handle. I went a place today to get bunya seeds and the lady had at least six patches of monstera in full sun. When you think your monstera has enough light, give it all the light.
This is a subtropical region (37º south).

Why do they get sunburn tho? Is it like with humans where kids who play videogames all day die when they meet the sun on a 38°c beach day?
