Marion Sutherland swept the board at Reiss Gardening Club’s bulb show as she dominated the trophy list.

Although the show was held earlier than usual, there were more entries than last year in all the sections – making the judging all the more difficult for Carol Grant.

Reiss hall was full of colour and fragrance from all the exhibits on display.

After much deliberation, club secretary Marion emerged as overall champion as she took the trophies for bulbs, floral art and best exhibit as well as for baking and preserves.

In the afternoon the hall was open for all to view and to enjoy tea, coffee, cake, and there were some happy raffle winners too.

Reiss Gardening Club meets the first Tuesday of the month in the hall at 2pm, with new members welcome.
