I’ve had this paludarium in this configuration since early December and it seems to be doing good. Everything in it except for the substrate, snails, and synthetic coconut husks is wild caught. Including my Cope’s Grey Tree Frog “Bert”. I have assembled it to be a functioning ecosystem with scavengers, primary producers, primary consumers, and Bert as the secondary consumer. I do not feed him directly, but there are several colonies of macro-invertebrates, both aquatic and terrestrial, that I feed fish food, grapes, and decaying matter which he in turn feeds on. Occasionally I will toss some more isopods in there to help increase their population, but I only do this once a month or so around the same time I do a partial water change.
P.S. ik the synthetic coconut hides are not ideal. They are what I had on hand when I was assembling this terrarium, and I intend to replace them as soon as I can find actual coconuts at the store.

I’m not sure if I can edit the body of the text, but I forgot to mention the mini bamboo was also not wild caught.
