My MIL’s neighbor was giving these away (pups from a bigger mama) and grabbed them for me. It’s an inconvenient drive for me to go get them, but will do so straight away if needed. What can my MIL do to make them stay healthy till this coming Saturday?

TIA

Not an expert, but most succulents can survive months without soil. It’s very common to just chop succulents off at the base and set them on top of the soil and within a month they’ll reroot themselves. Three days should be fine.

She can just put em in the garage, they’ll be just fine sitting around for a week. Looks like Agave americana, not a picky one at all just make sure you plant it where it won’t stay wet for too long! Happy planting

I’ve got a succulent branch that broke off the plant about 6 years ago. The branch has been sitting on concrete for six years still alive. No roots or anything.

They’ll be fine. I’ve left an agave attenuata for 2 months under my patio cover. I had gotten a large cutting from Nextdoor and kept it for 2 months before I decided to plant it. It’s doing great now.
