My string of dolphins is looking like clover leaf! Wild because the older dolphins look like dolphins – and were grown earlier this winter with less light. About 1 month ago, I put them under a grow light for 12 hours a day and they started flattening out. I can’t imagine they possibly need more light, especially if it was in more classical dolphin shape with less light. Help?

I don’t have any advice because I got so mad at my dolphins I threw them out. They tried this shit for me too. Plus mealy bugs that I could NOT get rid of for anything. It was so satisfying when I finally said enough is enough and tossed them in my fire pit. lol

  2. This plant is very etiolated. It needs a lot more light. The grow light either isn’t close enough or simply isn’t strong enough for this plant. I’ve personally found string of dolphins to be an exceptionally light hungry plant, even more so than some of my echeverias.

How close are they to the grow lights? Is it just one light or several?

My dolphins are about 8″ away from six LED lights and they’re happy, if that gives you a frame of reference.

I love her. Don’t know if they straighten out or not anymore. She did it during winter.i have her directly under a light. A strong one as well.
Dear Lord!! Mealy bugs would be the death of me and her!!!!
