Looks like turkey tail to me. It is medicinal and is said to have tumour-shrinking properties. You can make a tea out of it, but I’m not sure at what stage of it’s life cycle it’s best – maybe not when very old and hard.

I have some in my garden but not to this extent. Not sure if it’s edible but it’s a very important part of a healthy ecosystem for your garden.
