Hi, I've been invited at a friend's house and saw this plant. It is in poor state, but they told me they were trying to put it in better shape. I love the flowers it has, and would like to know which plant this is, but my friend couldn't answer :')

Needs a bigger pot
Bilbergia nutans.
It doesn’t need a bigger pot it needs a smaller one if anything. What it needs is a well draining substrate, orchid bark would work fine. This is a bromeliad and they are pretty shallow rooting most times. They store water in the centre of the leaves like a little cup. A weak solution of seasol to fertilize every so often, and decent amount of indirect sunlight. The can be hardened to take more sun but most respond best to indirect sunlight.
