Many houseowners take great pride in their gardens and the time and effort put into them. From keeping the lawn mowed, to picking out the perfect flowers and bushes, many find joy in watching their hard work and visions come to life. But if you find yourself getting behind on the gardening work for whatever reason, it can feel quite overwhelming to get it back to where it once was.
Because of this, many might opt to spend a little bit of extra cash in order to help their gardens transform. This is what one 76-year-old woman wanted to do, as she found that her garden had become overgrown and out of control, and simply too much for her to handle.

However, she was soon quoted £3,000 for the garden tidy up, which many claimed was ‘over-priced’. This is when a kind gardener called Mike came in and decided to do something about it.
Instead of charging the pensioner a steep sum for the work, he decided to spruce up her garden completely for free. The only thing he asked for in return was to be able to document the work on his TikTok account, Garden Yardz Mowin, so he could show his 33,300 followers the results of his efforts.
At the start of the video, he showed the garden in question, which had a paved patio where bunches of grass were seen growing between the stone slabs on the ground. This then lead out to an area of grass, which had grown to waist height. A small pathway could be seen in the middle of the garden, which lead out to another paved section.
Mike quickly got started on the work, starting off with mowing down the grass, trimming it down into very satisfying lines. He then used a leaf blower to reveal the pathway again, which had been covered over by the cut grass. The video then cut to the finished garden, which was neatly mowed with all of the tall grass removed.
It instantly looks brighter and ready to be used to the fullest once again. Captioning the the heartwarming post, Mike explained: “76-year-old woman quoted £3,000 for her garden. So I did it for FREE.”
People soon rushed to the comment section to praise Mike for his act of kindness, with some also wondering how it was fair for others to charge an ‘overpriced’ fee for the job.
One person wrote: “How can someone justify £3,000 just to cut the grass an take the waste away! The greed of some people, well done for helping this lady.” Another viewer said: “There are some decent people left in this world, thank you for that.”
This is not the first time Mike has taken up a garden transformation job for free, as he often is seen helping people with their overgrown gardens. In another recent post, Mike shared that another pensioner, who was 91 years old, had been quoted more than £1,000 for a small garden transformation job, which he also decided to take on for free, as the video showed him mow the lawn and trimming bushes.
Just like with this video, viewers prasied Mike for his kindness and hard work, as viewers said: “Thank you top man if we all help our elderly or friends.” “I knew there were kind people in this world, and you are one of them,” another viewer said.
