My sweet potato plant is developing this grainy stuff on its leaves
It started with the small leaves, i cut some away but its now developing fast and spreading on the bigger ones. Any idea what this is and what i can do about it?
probably pests.
the simple solution? Neem oil and water. just research about the concentration and just spray it on usually the pests are gone with just one application, but it may take 2 or more if the pest situation is out of hand

Looks like sugar deposits caused by guttation. Your plant is likely secreting sap from its leaves because it’s getting too much water or too little light.

When I tried to do this my potato grew roots and leaves, but then rotted and smelled horrific. What did I do wrong?
