Hello, I am renting a house that has a greenhouse in the backyard. I have a red footed tortoise that I am considering housing in the greenhouse, as it is a large space and would be perfect as the greenhouse already has irrigation and power. My only concern is sealing up these holes that are in the siding and roof of the greenhouse. Any ideas on how I could do a DIY patch up of these?

Again I’m renting – and I’m aware of the quite awful condition of the greenhouse but getting a new one isn’t an option.

you could probably get some waterproof repair tape- think flex seal or whatever, even waterproof duct tape. even out the edges or cut them so they can lay flat, then tape some waterproof material to cover these spots.

i don’t like plastic much but if it were me in that situation i would use bubble wrap, and tape that on the inside, then tape on a patch of regular plastic tarp on the outside.

also if you’re gonna put any creature that can dig inside there, check the flooring at the edges. you might need to block it off under the dirt so they don’t dig out and run away from home.
