  1. Aeonium are finicky. Depending on what your climate is, if you’re in like southern California or the likes they’re easy, I killed a couple of my first ones by over watering while inside and they rotted. I can’t keep them outside in the winter. I have 6 of them now and the one I can’t get a grasp on what it likes is an Aeonium Lilly pads.

This beauty is a black rose aeonium. They are winter hardy/winter growers and summer dormant. They thrive in strong sun and soil with good !grit. When dormant you can give them slightly less water but not none for months. They’re very strong plants if not overwatered and in good strong light.

Aeoniums only bloom once and then the rosette dies and leaves behind new offsets. But that’s a long way aways 😊

Summer-dormant, so need to be left dry; they grow in winter.

  4. You could cut the head off, plant it so a it roots and then the stem will grow more heads. I always get itchy to chop & prop when I see a long stem like this
