Dear Laura ! It is gorgeous mix ๐ท๐ฟ Love love love this season even though mine isn't starting until may, I am gardening with you and been inspired.
May Abba Father blessed you and yours โค
Great jobโค Laura..so sorry about the mirror…
Laura, you make me feel so close to my daughter who lives in Boise (I live in Ohio). Iโve been to all the antique places you and your mom visit. When youโre in Eagle during iris season go to Joannโs iris garden. I bought some of her rhizomes and planted them at my daughterโs home. I am a kindred spirit gardener. Sorry about that fire but so thankful you were all kept safe.
So excited to see all your hydrangeas in bloom this year. I have learned so much from you. I have a question, I live in Minnesota and was out walking in my gardens yesterday and noticed that the rabbits have eaten the bark from most of my hydrangeas from about an inch above the ground to two feet up. These are a variety of panicles that I have had for years and this is the first year I have seen rabbits do this. Is cutting them back to the ground where there is still bark my only chance of hope? Thank you!
Lol didnt Laura said the other day she doesn't like to over crowd the plants. Jkjk i love it. And wish i could grow any of those plants.
I got my first 3 inch auger for Christmas and can't wait to use it. Wont be til May๐ข
I would love to get a drill with that handle. What is that called? What would I ask for at the big box store?
Oh how I wish I could plant like this right now- here in South Eastern ON, CA – we still have a lot of snow around- in the mean time, we have Garden Answer!๐ธ๐
Do you think you would ever do a hobby livestock farm one day? In my dream situation would like to have one calf a year for myself and milk production. With one bull and set them on pasture together, have another pair to raise one cow for meat after 7.5 years of growth. Then let that advance to 37 cows. I figure 1 cow to me needs 6 acres, 3 for rotation active grazing, 3 for hay and rotation. Then do 12 acres for each cow managing wild forests or grassland for animal corridors, like antelope pronghorn black bears cougars. Have other livestock 12 goats sheep pigs and 50 chickens on 40 acres. And in dream situation create 14 natural building bungalows with alloting each house with 3 acre garden spaces ….so 3 acres given to each individual of 14 caretakers. Supply beef, milk and enough income to cover vehicle and insurance and $300 monthly spending money. Free housing and vegetable plots with root cellars. Feel they can do part time property work and part time digital remote work for self employment. So with a 9 acre homestead for land investor plus all that above it is about one square mile area or 800 acres. For one yr supply of milk on hobbyist farm for 14 workers think could do 3 cows, 3 bulls plus 3 calves a year. Just fun to imagine and with Andrews pasture background, could do a indoor vlog about that…any info regarding dream property development with unusual livestock raising…more pasture areas for fun herd sorting vs business. Equals happier more rested lifestyles for caretakers as have food source and house taken care of…plus income or time for personal growth. Type of elevated company business to just let majority of herd graze to natural lifespan while managing habitat lands. Could support with social media access also as asmr videos, like the old Sunrise Earth series. ๐๐ Become cheese or ice cream kefir expert if single to keep extra milk
Wow
The hellebore bed is amazing Laura! I donโt know how you resist loading up some compost right away, to tidy it all up to perfection.
Have watched you for several years and love your gardening videos. Please continue to share your other things with us, antique shopping, baking, cocktails, cooking and the renovations to your home, love it all!

you could ask if you can keep the broken mirror, for the frame, and maybe someone local can put new glass in there?
I love the mass planting of Hellebores and Hydrangeas. Itโs calming yet makes a big statement!
Love all cleaning ๐ธ๐บ
It just occurred to me that the hedge where you planted the lovely combo of hellebores and lamium is a mini secret garden. Cool beans, Laura! I always wondered why you didn't choose taller plants than the hedge in that area. Your explanation of the Japanese maple clicked and made sense to me. Better late than never! It was smart opening up the mirror on camera. All that broken glass reminded me of Rebecca Robeson's Broken Mirror Christmas Tree. Google it. It's gorgeous! ๐ช๐ฒ๐
Itโs so refreshing to see in ground planting while our soil here in Wisconsin is still frozen!! I just took down some Christmas deco which was frozen into place.
I loved all the plantings today. The pots were my favorite. Sometimes simple is best. Sorry about the mirror but you can always reorder and hopefully it will come in one piece.
Who couldn't love a 'Laura's packed-out' planting! Those hellebores & lamium together is a shade lover's dream! How interesting that the gorgeous Etain violas are perennial. Such fun!
I absolutely love your home and garden, I am older and live in a much ,much smaller home.
But you always give great ideas for any sized garden.
Keep growing and given out great videos โค

Shoot! Sorry about the mirror. It is really pretty.
Those white ranunculus in pots are so pretty! ๐
Wow what a bummer with the mirror. Iโm not sure if the box was even marked fragile? Hopefully they can get you another one.
That planted area next to the house with lamium (sp?) and hellebores is just beautiful!
Laura, I love the helebores behind the boxwoods, so pretty. What happened to the evergreen tree by the mailhouse? It looks dead. Will it come back?
Question for Aaron totally off gardening. What bed cover do you have on yourโs and/ or Lauraโs Ford truck. Was it after market? Iโm on the hunt. Thank you.
Love the Hellebores such an amazing plant. Great clean up. Oh No the mirror is done. Wow. Thanks again for sharing this with us.๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ
Oh the frame of that mirror is so beautiful. What a shame the glass was broken. Hope you find another one.
Hellebores are my favorite hope mine made it under 2ft of snow, Cape Cod
Good morning Laura the last container you planted is my favorite
Itโs funny that when you were talking about the hellebores and the different variety of color change in the blooms you love it. But I do recall you saying that when Petuniaโs do it you donโt like it. I love the variety of colors that petunias produce. Because it makes it look like you have more than one variety in your pot. Just something I noticed. No negative meantโค the hellebores look great there. Beautiful.
LOVE that combo in that bed!
