Spring is finally here, and today I’m sharing my full spring garden refresh 🌸 I’m repotting and refreshing my container garden after winter, and finishing my first DIY garden project of the year — a restored vintage railway bench for our front entrance.
In this spring gardening vlog, I’m preparing my pots for the new season with pruning, feeding, mulching, and repotting. I’m cutting back winter damage, refreshing old potting soil, and giving my container plants the nutrients they need for healthy spring growth. Early spring is the perfect time for container gardening care and getting ahead before the warmer months arrive.
Alongside my spring garden prep, I’m also restoring a beautiful old wooden railway bench to create a welcoming front entrance seating area. This simple DIY garden project completely transforms the space and marks the first finished garden project of the year.

One of my favourite jobs is refreshing, and adding soil etc to pots getting them ready for Spring weather. so relaxing watching you do this and I didn't feel tired afterwards 😉
I like the pots, chair, gravelled area along the wall as it will be much easier to keep clean and a relaxing area to rest and have a drink closer by your front door.

I started spring cleanup this last week and I am sore to say the least! ☺️….but it is so refreshing to be out of doors..listening to the birds…seeing the clouds filter by…and smelling the earth as it perfumes the air as I’m turning it to wake it up. It is soul food for me! Your garden is lovely!
