Currently under attack (for snacks) are my sage, basil, thyme in a large herb pot, random plant in the garden next to this pot.
Then another germanium in its own pot on the other side of my porch is having problems too. On the under leaf of the geranium I also found white eggs(?)
All pots have drainage and plants are watered about once a week. Outdoor plants with about 5-6 hours of sunlight.
Are the black spots caterpillar poo? They don’t seem to be alive and don’t seem to look like the black aphids or thrips I’ve looked up?
How would y’all handle this situation? Isolation from other plants? Pruning and a hose down? Start crying/mourn?
Any help appreciated!

[mushrooms](https://planethouseplant.com/why-are-there-mushrooms-growing-on-my-house-plant/) – mushrooms in houseplant soil are harmless to your plant. Because of their life cycle, they may seem to appear overnight. They appear because the conditions were right – usually warm, dark, humid, and moist soil. The black is their poo I believe amd yeah that looks like a pretty severe infestation tbh ud either treat them with string pesticides or remove and replace.
The black bits are frass, their droppings.
Just hand pick as many as you can. They look big enough to see easily, at least in your photos. Squish em, drown em or toss em out somewhere for birds to eat. You could spray with Bt (bacillus thuringiensis) just follow label directions. Your plants will do okay!
