To keep the butterflies inside, there are chains at the entrance and exit of the tent. Guests walk through by pushing these to the sides.

Spending time in nature is a great way to relax, rejuvenate, and practice mindfulness — the art of living in the moment.

As you walk through this garden, take a moment to notice all the living things around you — from the smallest butterfly to the tallest tree.

There are two types of plants you might find at the Butterfly House: host plants and nectar plants.

Before they turn into butterflies, caterpillars need host plants for their food. In fact, each species has a particular plant that they like best, so you can choose your plants based on the kind of butterfly you’d like to attract.

For example, monarchs love to munch on milkweed, while swallowtails prefer dill!

Once their metamorphosis is complete, butterflies get their energy from drinking nectar.

Some plants that provide this tasty drink include butterfly bush, black-eyed Susan, and coneflower.

Guests are encouraged to observe, but not touch, the butterfly residents. There is an interactive board to look at different butterfly colors.

Butterfly Landing includes a variety of butterfly species, including monarch, malachite, common buckeye, and zebra longwing.

We didn’t just see butterflies in the butterfly tent. This appears to be a Luna Moth hanging out on the cocoon house.

A series of small signs has more details about individual butterfly species and Disney’s work with them.
