One of my favorite little spots to explore on our new property is this little creekside cave/rock overhang. It’s not deep but slightly larger than appears in pictures. Not that it necessarily needs a use beyond being a cool spot but wondering if there’s any great uses for such a thing? Digging out a small root cellar would be neat but think I’d hit bedrock pretty quickly. Thought about putting a few mushroom logs in but obviously it’s protected from rain, although it stays moist. What would you do with it? Just admire? Bomb shelter?

Gnome cave
The mushroom log idea sounds pretty sweet.
Fire pit, some logs for seating, and anchors for a tarp to create a dry outdoor spot to sleep in nice weather
Crash pads under for light bouldering
Fern and orchid garden with lots of moss and mushroom logs
I would leave it as it is. But I would figure out a way to put a chair there so I could sit and admire the forest.
YouTube bushcraft cabin.
Leave it alone.
Smoke meth in it
it’s awesome! no idea what to do… make it a sacred place?! maybe take a small clay pot, put some bits of gold, or coins, or jewlery inside, close it with clay, hide it under some rocks? if i would want to find a treasure anywhere, i’d start searching there! 😃
Moist and shaded? Mushrooms could work with a little misting. But honestly, a quiet spot to just listen to the creek sounds like the real treasure. 🌿
The spelunker in me would clean it out, check on how structurally sound it is and then how far back it goes.
