  1. Arborvita shades the ground so moss grows with tiny insects that come with that and the shade and heat causes mold to grow on autos, patio furniture, etc. they get 80-feet tall and are brittle and get storm damaged. I lost two and can't wait to get rid of the other three.

  2. Haven't tried hybrid wiillows as they are expensive. The bamboo grows extremely tall and shuts out all light. Recommend cane instead. Leyland cypress gets 80-feet tall and shuts out light and causes mold and moss growth. Don't believe it when the tag says dwarf, they are not. The arborvitae get insect nests inside and branches die out and need frequent thinning. Crappy recommendations here in my opinion. Holly has leaves with stickers, not fun. Plant shrubs native to your area instead as they work better, don't get way too tall and are manageable.
