Hey plant caretakers. Thank you for reading my post. After many years, I received my number one plant on my wishlist, Cephalotus follicularis.

I've been doing plenty of reading on it, and doing my best to be prepped for it's care.
I have a question about repotting it, however. It seems the generally safe pot size is at least four inches. My pot is definitely under four, and the cephalotus is not potted at the top of the pot either.

For the ones with experience in this, should I repot now or wait until the plant grows more? I know cephalotus does not like having it's roots disturbed. I guess I can slide out the whole clump and put it in a bigger and deeper pot. However I also read that cephalotus prefers to grow in crowded conditions. If anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

edit: the first picture is of the watering level I have for the plant. It sits in a water container that has pots containing sarracenia and droseras, as well as VFT. Most of the other plants tolerate or prefer wetter conditions so I decided to just raise the height that the pot is on from the water level with a plastic cap. Would this be okay for distance?

I’ve repotted mine and cut clones off it with no issues. All clones I took from it rooted as well. I don’t feel it’s as picky as I’ve read about online. I’m also in a humid area so that could play a part too

I let it dry out between waterings too
