Good morning and happy spring all. I would really like to revamp this space this year and kindly request your suggestions & thoughts. Considerations:
1) Needs to stay a minimum of a foot off the house, of course.
2) I had good success painting a rain barrel to match the house and would like to put one there at the downspout/holly.
3) I have one sprinkler head I can tap into about 10 feet past the gate walkway but cannot control its frequency or output. It runs about twice a week for 15 minutes, I think.
4) It varies by improvement efforts over the years, but I have about a foot or less to degrading limestone.
5) I would really like something edible, but I recognize this is a difficult space so that would be a bonus.
6) Wall faces south.
Thank you all in advance.

Not a lot of edible for human plants but we like to pick native plants from this booklet for landscaping. Helps local birds and wildlife to have habitat and food sources. Most are very drought resistant as well so you don’t need to water very often long term.
