So a few months back I came across this Angel Kissed Echeveria at Walmart. I’ve never had any succulents before, so naturally when I came across this plant I had to have it. I’ve had it for a few months and I just read that it’s not supposed to be growing upwards. It’s supposed to keep the “rosette” shape from when I first brought
it home. The first picture is the day I got it, the second picture is when it started growing, and then the third picture is one I took a few weeks ago. I have this plant in a window 24/7 where it receives full light. I was told this plant needs tons of light so I figured that would be the best place for it. I was reading on some extra care tips and came across a post that said that they aren’t supposed to grow upwards. If they grow upwards it’s because they are reaching for more light. Am I doing something wrong here? I’m not really sure why it’s growing to reach for more light if it receives light all day. What can I do to fix this? What am I doing wrong here? Thank you in advance!

Just needs more light, echeverias are one of the most light hungry succulents. More light should fix the issue.
Hey! You might need a grow light to supplement the natural light it already gets. Depending on where you live maybe the sun’s not strong enough~
Other informations that might be helpful for people here to advice you, are the type of soil it is in, and your watering habitudes 🙂
I’ve read somewhere that a mainly mineral soil helps with roots structure, and for your plant’s to grow more compact 🙂
