The Pier at Garden City for sale at $15 million

GARDEN CITY, SC (WMBF) – An iconic landmark in the Grand Strand is up for grabs, according to an online listing.

The Pier at Garden City is up for sale, listed by Coastal Business Brokers Inc. for $15 million on LoopNet, an online marketplace for commercial real estate.

“RARE Opportunity to own one of the nicest piers in the Atlantic Ocean on a beautiful Carolina beach,” the listing reads. “Including the real estate, this pier offers live entertainment, fishing, a tackle shop, a cafe and an arcade.”

This 668-foot fishing pier on South Waccamaw Drive has been a fixture in the Garden City community for decades.

It is currently closed for annual maintenance and repairs, with an expected reopening date in mid-March.

According to Horry County property records, Kingfisher Associates LLC owns the pier, which was built in 1992.
