Lissivigeen National School’s sensory garden has been announced as the winner of the MD O’Shea’s Community Builders Competition.

The Killarney-based school will receive a €3,000 MD O’Shea’s voucher to be used towards the project.

The MD O’Shea’s Community Builders Promotion celebrates the remarkable voluntary work taking place throughout Kerry to strengthen local communities.

Lissivigeen National School was one of three finalists, alongside Firies Tidy Towns and the Kerry Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre; the two runners-up will each receive €1,000 worth of MD O’Shea’s vouchers.

A public vote took place and the results were announced on the 11-1 Club with Pat Kelly.
