AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Randall County Master Gardeners is hosting its “Gardening with the Masters” expo this weekend.

Organizers say this free event will help provide advice for taming conditions of the Panhandle.

The expo is Saturday, Feb. 28 from, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at George Washington Carver Elementary Academy located at 1905 NW 12th Street in Amarillo.

Registration is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., no pre-registration is required.

Here is a schedule of various class topics:

9 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. – Seed starting and propagation- Cheap plants – Shelly Seth10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. – Growing your own tomatoes- Melody Hill and Mia Dacus11 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. – Homesteading in the Panhandle- Lindsey DannerNoon to 12:40 p.m. – Edible landscaping- Andi Wardlaw

There will be several expo booths and vendors that will help answer gardening questions.

Organizers say there will be door prize drawings each hour.
