A few days ago, it rained and my mom put the plant outside so it could get some water. Ever since, the leaves are really soft and drooping. They're still green, but don't seem healthy. We usually keep the plant in our lounge, which is the most naturally well-lit part of our house, and it's specific position is next to a window, which is close to a net door from which the sunlight lights up the whole house. The soil is a bit damp towards the top and dry at the bottom. If anyone could tell me what I should do or why the leaves are like this, I would highly appreciate it!

Are you sure that it’s dry at the bottom? This would indicate you’re not watering it thoroughly. Water should make it down to the bottom.
I know this soil is common but it can retain a lot of moisture.
