Welcome, gardeners! Today I’m taking you on a February tour of the back garden after a frosty night, and even though it’s cold, the signs of spring are definitely starting to show. So much has been happening back here with the construction and makeover, even if it’s not the flashy kind of progress. We’ve been cleaning out the carport, organizing the greenhouse, improving drainage, and even getting some painting done behind the scenes. It really feels like the calm before the spring planting storm, and I am so ready for this next season to begin. ❄️ Enjoy!

Looks amazing! I love Monty and what he adds to your videos, so sweet!
Janey, your back garden is looking lovely & ready for a beautiful season. The patio & walkways are stunning. I am concerned with your plan to put iron arches over the path to the office. With the wooden ones you plan to put over the path to the greenhouse & with the beautiful screen by the garage, I think it might begin to look overdone & cluttered. I encourage you to o slow down on your plans & decide on these big design elements carefully.
I think the camellia looks beautiful behind the screen. I’m sure the bunnies love it.
Hi Janey! Garden looks beautiful! Just wanted to share that Sam has your black and white umbrellas you wanted for your back garden.
Love your Gardens. I think a matte black paint would look much nicer than the glossy/shiny black that stands out more. …also, I would totally plant a pretty flower for the bunnies to look at too. 😊
your awesome! you go girl ! you do you! thanks for inspiring me! can't wait to see back garden when roses are blooming
That camela is beautiful.
I want some and hydrangea but I dont have enought shaded area's.
So I enjoye when you show plants I like ,but don't have.
What happened to all the hibiscus you had along the side fence in the backyard ?
Gophers!
There’s something so satisfying about checking things off a to-do list. Call yours a ta-da list, it’s worth celebrating everything you’re getting done!! 😊🇨🇦
Camellia is definitely NOT Debutante. Not sure, but watch to see if it might be Nuccio's Pearl? Back garden is moving along wonderfully!
That fountain is gorgeous! I can't wait to see it in your yard❣️❤
The Secret Garden is looking beautiful. The mahonia and the boxwood, the window boxes, clematis armandii, and the almond snow? Just gorgeous!
Oh, and the camellias are stunning as ever. So fun to see everything!
Thanks for sharing, Janey!
I would think you will definitely smell the sweet peas from the house❣️💯😍🌸🌿
You could use the cobble stone same as the front from bed to pavement but use it in the back gravel to dirt to bring some of the front to the back. Also a couple of big boulders what someday will be under those maples to bring some of that from the front to the back as well.
You could do stacked cut wood walls or half walls to screen the carport
Consider continuing with the brown screen to cover the car port and bring it back up along the wall at back porch❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can you provide a link for your sunglasses??
Janey, lease repeat the name of that strongest odor Sweet Pea. I have replayed that 4 times and still don't know what you are saying. I am 90 and you speak pretty fast. And I am in zone 4, raised in Vallejo where my dad had beautiful gardens. Congratulations on your beautiful progress.
Love your videos❤ Where did you purchase your garden arches in your secret garden?
I’m not familiar with Podocarpus. What variety do you have Janey? Seems there are very different and distinct varieties of this species.
