As a joke a couple years back, I planted this fiddle leaf fig tree in our side yard. It was 4 feet tall with 2 leaves left and my dumb ass thought it'd be funny to see if it could survive. Well its really grown in now and is around 10 feet tall and the trunk is maybe 3 inches diameter. Do you guys think I need to get this removed ASAP? Its about 3 feet from the side of the house

  1. Tree small. Tree no big root. No hurty rock. Pull tree out before get big.

Depending on where you sell it, a fiddle leaf fig that size is worth decent $.

Doubt it would bother the foundation, but will cause many other issues as it gets larger

Yes, you should move it. That will continue to grow.

If you take your time, you may be able to transplant it without killing it, and place it back into a pot.

Move it before your homeowners insurance starts charging you for it as liability.

It’s a nice tree just dig it up and move it.

I would move it somewhere else. That’s a beautiful tree. You could farm them!

  7. Fiddle leaf figs have intense invasive root systems similar to willow.

    Really bad place for it.
