Join Mary Lennox, Colin Craven and a host of others in a musical wonderland this Saturday, Feb. 28, when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 Northside students present an original musical adaptation of “The Secret Garden.”
Playing the title character, Mary Lennox, is Remmi Shadel. Indigo Smart as Martha Sowerby, Leif Stephensen as Dickon Sowerby, Eilah Poelstra as Susan Sowerby, and Noah Murray as Colin Craven. Liam Deis as Archibald Craven, Olivia Watson as Mrs. Medlock, Pax Stephensen as Doctor Craven, Kormac Dunn as Ben Weatherstaff, and Greta Holm as Robin Redbreast.
The Bugs that Rock are made up of Natalie Mills, Hadley Reilly, Ashlyn Gillis, Sabrina Funk, Jackson Boecker, Bailey Hermiston, Blaze Lloyd, and Fisher Ross.
Pax Dunn, Henry Wilson, Charlie Owens, Mavrick Roos, Aislee DiGiulio, Avery Peak, Emmalina Margene, Parli Barnes, Adi Hawkins, and Piper Kizanis will play the Canadian Geese.
Appearing as the Moor Folk are Myra Poelstra, Olympia Gall, Clover Ross, Audrina Watson, Josie Tauber, Abigail Vevang, Akela Logan, and Maxwell Hansen.
Lyla Gunter, Weston Espinosa, Eloise Inge, Janae Funk, Molly Roos, Madeline Bauer, and Walker Jacobson will play the Fireflies.
Hayley Brown, Madison Cook, Londynn Noble, Luna Ahner, Avy Palkki, Georgia Roos, Searsha Franchino, Finley Kizanis, Macie Jernigan, Reagan Riffel, Nicole Watson, Ruby Rawlings, Evelyn Laude, Demi Deis, and Eloise Butterfield will perform the roles of the Secret Garden.
Emma Sprecher, Eirnin Dunn, Calvin Conley, and Scout Tauber have served as Assistant Directors throughout the week.
“The Secret Garden” will be presented in two showings, the first at 1 p.m. and the second at 3:30 p.m. Both performances are at Northside Elementary School.
Tickets are $5 (5 and under are free) and are available at the door. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency at Northside Elementary is brought to you by the Northside PTO with support from the Idaho Community Foundation.
The musical was adapted by Michael McGill, with music and lyrics also by McGill.
