My husband's Serissa japonica that we purchased last week developed these over the last couple of days and they've spread over it quickly. The pot has drainage, it's kept indoors, currently under a grow light, and is watered whenever the soil is dry, roughly every other day as it's in a well draining bonsai mixture.

Spider mites! Ugh pesky buggers! I got them on my roses and neem oil has kept them under control! I rinsed the whole thing off thoroughly and spray neem oil every few days and I haven’t seen them back yet.

I think they are spiders vs spider mites. I can’t imagine a spidermite infestation getting that extreme in a couple of days. You can also see actual spiders in the photo.

Is it possible a clutch hatched and you have lots of baby spiderlings?

    If so, mazeltov!
