NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Garden District Book Shop will host a signing celebration for multiple contributors to the new book, “New Orleans Garden District: Profiles in Preservation,” on Friday, Feb. 27.
Created by the Garden District Association, New Orleans Garden District is a 300+-page book beautifully bound and presented in a matching dust jacket. It showcases over 100 historic homes in the Garden District, complete with exquisite photographs and each home’s essential condensed history. The exquisite photographs alongside fascinating archival images from the past tell the comprehensive story of the District’s architecture, culture, and people, tracing its evolution from its 1800s origins to our present-day ‘living museum’. It’s a must-have for all Garden District residents and visitors.
The festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. Authors/Historians Howard Hunter, Sally Reeves and Hilary Irvin will be in attendance as well as photographer David Spielman.
Entry to the event is free and open to the public but the shop strongly encourages interested parties to RSVP to ensure entry and reserve a copy of the book on Eventbrite as space is limited.
