(1) Today and (2) when I got this Prince Of Orange at a plant swap in June 25. I’ve tried varying dryness, light and humidity but no response. This is my first philodendron and was hoping for it to be a success. What can I try?
Woah, that’s pretty dramatic for one of these. Can you see roots through the clear container? The only time I’ve seen a philo droop like this was total root annihilation. I wouldn’t want you to totally disrupt the roots since it’s already in distress but I strongly suspect that’s the issue.
To answer the question, I wouldn’t say it’s beyond hope at all. They’re generally pretty hardy and restarting in water or sphag works well. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and start with the roots.
