The Potting Shed Restaurant at St Peter’s Garden Centre in Brockhill clinched joint third when it competed against hundreds of garden centres for the Catering Excellence Award.
The award was established by the Garden Centre Association (GCA) which is a national inspection scheme and governing body for garden centres across the UK.
Robert Banks, head of catering and hospitality at The Potting Shed Restaurant and Poppy’s Cafe, said: “We are thrilled to announce that our restaurant was named joint third best garden centre restaurant in the UK last week.
“This incredible achievement is a testament to our fantastic team, whose passion and dedication drive us every day.
“We constantly strive to give our customers fresh, new experiences, with food of the highest standard, the best speciality coffee, and locally sourced ingredients that set us apart.
“Thank you to our wonderful customers for making this possible—we can’t wait to keep welcoming you.”
It is not the first accolade St Peter’s Garden Centre has secured this year.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that it had secured a place in the 25 best British garden centres in the UK according to the GCA.
The site on Norton Road was officially ranked the 23rd best place to visit in 2025.
It was initially ranked 37th on the GCA’s list in 2024 and climbed 14 places to the top 25.
Jamie Armstrong, digital manager at St Peter’s Garden Centre, said: “What truly sets St Peter’s Garden Centre apart is our community spirit.
“We’re more than just a garden centre, we’re a place for everyone, whether it’s someone popping in on their own for a bit of inspiration, a couple enjoying a quiet afternoon together, or a family attending one of our Half Term events to explore and make memories.
“We’re extremely excited for the year ahead and want to keep growing and improving.
“Twenty-third place is great but we’re not stopping there.”
