Gardeners in south Essex came together for a community event celebrating the start of the growing season.

The Annual Seed Potato Day, hosted by Trust Links and SEEOG, was held at the Trust Links site in Rochford and attracted hundreds of visitors.

Attendees were able to browse more than 20 varieties of seed potatoes, as well as onion sets, shallots, and a variety of pea and bean seeds.

The event offered a valuable opportunity for both new and experienced gardeners to prepare for the growing season.

Guests also enjoyed freshly baked jacket potatoes and the chance to talk to gardening experts.

The event offered practical advice, friendly conversations, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

A raffle held during the day raised funds for Trust Links, a charity that supports adults with mental health problems through therapeutic gardening and positive activities.
