A woman has been praised for getting revenge on an entitled stranger who parked his car on her perfectly maintained garden. She explained how her property is situated opposite a pub which hosts live music events on Monday nights.

Due to limited parking, one motorist opted to use her lawn as additional space. Irritated, she resolved to impart a lesson they wouldn’t soon forget. Sharing her story on Reddit, she stated: “I came out to walk over and listen to the music yesterday and… someone had clearly found it so hard to park that they drove up over the kerb and parked on my lawn.

“Yup. Driven up over the curb and nestled their piece-of-crap car between my flower pots and onto the manicured grass.

“I went into the pub to ask whoever it was to move and I saw one of the musicians look shifty, but he didn’t own up. Or move. Fine.”

She then returned home to fetch a pen, some Post-it notes, extra-sticky duct tape and a vibrant red, long-lasting lipstick.

She added: “I wrote DO NOT PARK HERE in bright red lipstick on every single window, including the little side ones at the back.

“Then I wrote NO PARKING on four or five Post-it notes and stuck them to the front and back windscreens with a ludicrous amount of duct tape – about two feet per note.

“I knew full well that whoever had parked there was probably watching me through the pub window. I hope they also enjoyed their drive of shame home, scraping the duct tape glue off the glass and trying to remove the rock-hard, set lipstick. Then I went to bed.”

By morning, the car had disappeared and she promptly installed a new wooden post in the gap to prevent a recurrence.

Whilst many users commended her for teaching the intruder a lesson, others shared their own strategies for dealing with such situations.

One user suggested: “Vaseline smeared on the windows and door handles.”

Another added: “Dumping any foul-smelling liquid down the windshield air vents is another option. Unless they know how to change the cabin air filter, it will be a permanent stench.”

A third user said: “I knew someone who once had issues with another party, so they sprayed the offending party’s whole car in heavy-duty spray adhesive.”

Yet another person added: “Since it was parked in your yard, I would think you couldn’t be held responsible if your garden sprinklers activated at their normal time and drenched the vehicle with grey water mixed with liquid fertiliser. And if that water happened to drain down into the vehicle’s air vents, well.”
