Two Door Cinema Club have announced a huge show at New York’s Madison Square Garden, set to take place on September 27th, 2026.
The show is in celebration of 15 years of their breakout debut album, Tourist History, which features huge indie hits like ‘What You Know’, ‘This is the Life’, and ‘Do You Want It All?’.
At the unique show, the band will run through a full-album performance, as well as performing some of their other greatest hits. This will be their first time performing at the iconic New York venue.
The evening will also welcome special guest performances by Phantogram, STRFKR, and Friendly Fires, who are behind indie anthems such as ‘Skeleton Boy’ and ‘Jump in the Pool’.
Looking ahead at the huge show, the band have shared: “MSG is one of those bucket list venues for any artist. After we sold out Webster Hall in 2010, we took a walk past The Garden one night and our agent said, ‘This time next year, boys!’”
They went on, “It only took a few extra years to get there, but here we are! We love NYC and we really can’t wait for this one.”
The band’s last live performances were at the end of 2024, when they hit Australia on a collaborative tour with ‘Brazil’ hitmaker, Declan McKenna.
The new show follows a period of rest for the band, who told Junkee in 2024: “We’re going to take some time off and ‘work on ourselves’ and work on some new music at the same time. We’ll definitely be back at some point. We’ll be back as soon as we’re able. We’re already planning it, but it’s not going to be this year.”
Their last album was released in 2022. Far Out gave Keep on Smiling three stars, observing, “It’s a bit like a Pet Shop Boys album, but it’s definitely Two Door Cinema Club doing their version of it. This halfway house between indie and new wave is an interesting realm that conjures up a cornucopia of hooks, choruses and cutting little manic solos, but sometimes it’s all too much.”
They will also headline a string of UK festivals in 2026, including Y Not, Kendal Calling, Truck, and play at Crystal Palace Park in London.
